Palermo, no direct promotion? The regulations of the Serie B playoffs
News: The race for Serie A enters its hot phase and, as often happens in Serie B, nothing is decided yet. Palermo is in the fight for direct promotion, but if they don't achieve one of the top two places, the path to the playoffs will still remain open. If the tie persists, the better ranked team advances. In case of a tie in the double header: the final difference counts and the best ranked team passes. No extra time. The return match is played on the pitch of the best ranked team at the end of the championship.
