Palermo, one day disqualification for Inzaghi: the reasons of the Sports Judge
News: Filippo Inzaghi’s disqualification is official. The Sports Judge has inflicted a one-day ban on the Palermo coach, who will not be able to sit on the bench in the match against Spezia, scheduled for Sunday 18 January at 5.15pm. As stated in the Sports Judge’s provision, Inzaghi was sent off “for having, in the 38th minute of the second half, delayed the resumption of play by leaving the technical area”. The episode occurred during an argument with Cristiano Bani, Mattia’s brother, which led to the red card and dismissal of Inzaghi at the end of the match in Mantua. The device also includes an economic sanction, on the Mantua side however: a fine of five thousand euros to Leandro Rinaudo, current sporting director of the red and whites and former Palermo player, “for having, at the end of the first half, in the changing rooms, taken an intimidating attitude towards the match director”.
