Palermo, pitch invasion at Barbera: Daspo of 10 years for a fan

News: A “stunt” that cost a lot. The Palermo police commissioner, Vito Calvino, has issued a ten-year Daspo sentence against a Rosanero fan who was the protagonist of a pitch invasion during the Palermo-Südtirol match on 21 February. The episode forced the referee to temporarily suspend the match, valid for the 26th matchday of Serie B and then won by Palermo 3-0. In addition to the personal measure, there were also consequences for the club: the sports judge imposed a 5,000 euro fine on Palermo for the incident. The Daspo will prevent fans from attending Palermo matches and participating in any sporting event for a decade.
