Palermo plays the ninth. Beats Mantua and resumes the race
News: La Repubblica – Palermo plays the ninth. Beats Mantua and resumes the race. Palermo restarts after the defeat in Pescara and does so with a heavy victory in front of the ‘Barbera’ crowd. As Massimo Norrito explains in la Repubblica, the 2-1 against Mantova is worth the ninth consecutive home success and above all represents the response that the environment was waiting for from Inzaghi’s team after the misstep of the previous week. The rosanero’s match – observes Norrito on Repubblica – was divided into two very distinct parts: a first phase dominated with personality and quality, and a final of suffering after the episode that reopened the match. Palermo, however, showed its game and identity again for long stretches, regaining confidence and self-esteem.
