News: A year as a dominator that didn't end as he would have liked, but which makes him even hungrier and more determined ahead of next season. In a year and a half in Palermo Pohjanpalo has already become one of the most loved strikers in the club's recent history, but like all his teammates and fans he hoped that this would be the good year to reach Serie A: the objective was not achieved, but what the Finn did has laid the foundations to try again in an even more decisive manner next season. The Finn not only won the Serie B top scorers but dominated it, leading the second by seven goals: 24 for him, 17 for Adorante. To a superb season in terms of achievement, he added an equally impressive continuity of performance, with 41 games as a starter out of 42 in all competitions for the rosanero (the only absence in the Italian Cup against Udinese due to a technical choice) and 8 out of 10 for the national team: there were no satisfactions at team level either in Palermo or with Finland, but this season's numbers constitute an excellent basis for the next.
