"Palermo, record start. And the gaps already weigh"
Palermo launches a strong signal to the whole Serie B. The victory on the field of Mantua certifies the extraordinary departure of the team of Filippo Inzaghi, able to conquer 19 points in the first seven days, fruit of six successes and a tie. A performance never recorded before by the rosanero in the cadet championship, which allows the n formation to look all from above with five lengths of advantage on Mantua and six on Pisa and Modena. As Salvatore Orifici pointed out, in the last thirty years only four teams were able to start with the same performance: Pisa in 2021/22, Sassuolo in 2012/13, Brescia in 2007/08 and Empoli in 2004/05. The most recent precedent is that of Tuscans trained by Luca D'Angelo, who closed the season in third place, losing the final play-off against Monza.
