Palermo-Sampdoria 3-1, rosanero party at the Barbera
A first place night at Renzo Barbera. Palermo beats Sampdoria 3-1 and wins their third consecutive victory in the championship, climbing alone to the top of the Serie B table with 9 points. The rosanero addressed the challenge already in the first half. In the 9th minute Gabriel Strefezza broke the deadlock by taking advantage of Augello's cross from the left, while in the 33rd minute Joel Pohjanpalo doubled the lead. In the second half Sampdoria tried to reopen the match with Lorenzo Insigne, who scored in the 63rd minute, but Palermo did not fall apart and definitively secured the result in injury time with Antonio Palumbo's 3-1.
