Palermo, the 2026/27 summer transfer window closed
The summer transfer market session ends, with Palermo the absolute protagonists of Serie B. A pharaonic market for the category conducted by sporting director Carlo Osti, who not only scored several quality incoming moves, but also worked to thin out the squad, placing the redundancies that did not fall within Mr. Inzaghi's plans. In fact, there are nine players not called up by the Piacenza coach for the pre-season training camp: Blin, Corona, Buttaro, Diakitè, Brunori, Nikolaou, Di Bartolo, Lund and Appuah. None of them remained in the rosanero, reflecting the profound renewal work carried out by the management during this transfer session. The transfer market opens and the first department to be strengthened is the midfield. Osti immediately lands two top-level shots for the category: Hernani arrives, from Monza newly promoted to Serie A, and Estevez from Parma, with three years of experience in the top Italian league.
