Palermo, wildcard played: now you can no longer make missteps
News: Palermo encounters an unexpected stop on the Adriatic against Pescara and sees direct promotion disappear. The match plan is overturned by Gorgone’s men, while Palermo takes a clear step backwards in terms of play and intensity. More than the result, what is worrying is the way in which the knockout occurred: a collective subdued performance and the missed opportunity to close within three points of Monza and Venice. After months of constant performance, the hope is that it is only a matter of an empty passage. To continue chasing the Serie A dream, brilliance and continuity will have to be found immediately, with no more margins for error.
