Palermo Women, 8 March celebration on the pitch: the players enter…
News: A symbolic, emotional and meaningful moment accompanied the pre-match of Palermo Women-Academy Abatese, a match valid for the Women’s Serie C championship. On Sunday 8 March, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the players of the two teams took to the pitch holding the hands of the girls of the Rosanero Under 12 team, protagonists of a ceremony that wanted to celebrate women’s football and the value of sport as a tool for growth and inclusion. From the smallest to the largest, all united in the same symbolic embrace: the young footballers accompanied the athletes on the pitch, showing how the passion for football can be born as a child and transform into a sporting and human path. The initiative represented a strong message on the day dedicated to women: a sign of continuity between the present and future of Rosanero women’s football, with the littlest ones dreaming of following in the footsteps of the first team players. An image that tells much more than just entering the pitch: pride, belonging and passion for the rosanero shirt shared by different generations.
