Palermo, word to the defense: a left back is missing
News: Palermo, word to the defense: a left back is missing. Only one element is missing, deputy Augello: for the rest, Palermo's defense is already ready for 2026/27, with a different module but the same desire to show that solidity put on the pitch so many times last season. The coach wanted eight potential starters and was almost completely satisfied even before training camp began. There were already four central midfielders at the end of the previous season: Bani, Peda, Ceccaroni and Magnani. At the moment the only one sure of a starting place is the captain, while the others will have to earn it on the pitch. If one of the two were to leave, Palermo will be looking for a left-footed centre-back.
