News: Perin is called up by Juventus. And he is not the only name being considered by Palermo: but he is in pole position. With the injury of Jesse Joronen, who is out for some time, Palermo needs a replacement between the posts which, as we have reported in recent weeks, has been identified in Mattia Perin, currently at Juventus. There has been talk about this transfer for some time, but in the meantime the goalkeeper has been called up by his home club for the afternoon match against Frosinone, a situation which however does not jeopardize the conclusion of the operation in the next few days. “He's strong, but there are other names that we pay attention to, but the club has accustomed us to having the best,” said Rosanero coach Filippo Inzaghi yesterday – in a press conference – speaking of the goalkeeper. Who knows, however, whether this is a sort of pre-tactic to divert the discussion, considering that – in fact – the negotiation has not yet been unblocked.
