News: Catanzaro-Palermo will be one of the playoff semi-finals, after the Calabrians' unprecedented success over Avellino in the preliminary round. At Ceravolo, Aquilani's team prevailed with a peremptory 3-0, thanks to goals from Pontisso, Cassandro and Iemmello on penalties, easily gaining passage to the next round. The first match against the Rosanero is scheduled for Sunday evening at 8.00 pm, while the return match will be played on Wednesday 20 May at Barbera, again at 8.00 pm. Anticipation is already growing in Palermo: in the first 24 hours of pre-sale, over 11 thousand tickets were purchased by season ticket holders who exercised pre-emption rights, a full house is expected. In the other playoff semi-final, however, Juve Stabia surprised Modena by winning at Braglia thanks to a late goal by Zeroli.
