Pohjanpalo, the Palermo sniper: record in his sights and a season as…
News: The Finn is experiencing the most brilliant season of his career and, day after day, continues to drag Palermo into the promotion race. Pohjanpalo’s personal best dates back to the 2023/24 season with Venezia, which ended with 22 goals. Ahead remains Ghito Vernazza’s record of six consecutive games in the 1958/59 season. His haul is distributed with great variety: 14 goals from the right, 2 from the left and 4 from the head, with 66% of successful passes. Any extra matches that could offer Pohjanpalo further opportunities to chase – and perhaps achieve – one of the most iconic records in Palermo’s history.
