Reggiana-Palermo, red to Papetti after VAR review: hard foul on…
News: REGGIO EMILIA – A heated final at the “Città del Tricolore”, where Reggiana remained numerically inferior in the final minutes of the match against Palermo. In the 83rd minute (seven minutes from time), Papetti was sent off after a very harsh intervention against Johnsen. At first the referee Feliciani had drawn the yellow card, but the dynamics of the action led to a VAR review. After checking the monitor, the match director changed his decision, transforming the warning into a direct expulsion. Reggiana was thus left with ten men at the end of the match, while Palermo tried to take advantage of their numerical superiority in the final minutes.
