Sampdoria, chaos returning: to Genoa on the plane… from Palermo
News: The trip to Avellino turned into a real nightmare for Sampdoria: in addition to the 2-1 defeat on the Campania pitch – in Brunori’s debut in a Sampdoria shirt – the team had to face unexpected problems with the return flight. According to what was reported by Il Secolo XIX, the charter that had brought Samp to Salerno in the previous hours was in fact not available for the return journey due to a technical failure. For this reason the team had to wait for another plane, which turned out to be the same one that had accompanied Palermo to Verona for the match drawn yesterday against Mantua. Take-off, initially scheduled for 8pm, was thus postponed to 9.45pm, with landing in Genoa only taking place around 11.20pm, prolonging an already difficult day for the Blucerchiati.
