Serie B in Europe, Palermo at the top: only three teams
There is not only the Italian B Series to live a particularly balanced start of season. Looking at the five main European championships and comparing the performance of the top teams in their second divisions, a significant figure emerges also for Palermo: the rosanero are quarters in Europe for average points after the first five days. With 13 points, Inzaghi's team travels to an average of 2.60 points per game. A performance that puts it behind only the Hertha Berlin, able to win all six races and maintain an average of 3 points, the Castellón (2,71 after seven games) and the Nuremberg (2,66 after six). Palermo thus precedes the Eibar, fifth with 2,57 points of average, and the Saint-Étienne, sixth at 2.28.
