Serie B, Palermo-Empoli 3-2: rosanero fly in the standings,…
News: Palermo beat Empoli in a comeback and won 3-2 in the pouring rain. In front of the 24,975 fans present at the Reno Barbera stadium, Inzaghi’s men overturned the challenge valid for the 23rd matchday of Serie B thanks to Fulignati’s own goal and Pohjanpalo’s brace. The match Empoli’s lead came in the 5th minute following a corner kick thanks to a double rebound which favored Guarino who made it 0-1. Palermo found themselves chasing and initially suffered the blow, without ever being able to make themselves dangerous in the Fulignati area. In the 47th minute, a dubious episode: Peda hits a header in Empoli’s atheist, the ball hits the crossbar, bounces twice near the line and for the referee it’s not a goal.
