News: Serie B, Palermo-Südtirol: Daspo of 10 years for a fan from Palermo who invaded the pitchDaspo lasting ten years against a fan from Palermo who committed a pitch invasion during the Palermo – Südtirol match which took place on 21 February at the Renzo Barbera stadium. The provision prohibiting access to places where sporting competitions are held was issued by the Police Commissioner of Palermo, as part of the activities relating to public order and safety aimed at preventing episodes of intemperance among fans and more generally acts of violence during sporting events. During the first half of the match, the man climbed over the barrier that separates the north curve from the pitch and arbitrarily entered the pitch. The fan was blocked by Palermo Digos personnel and subsequently referred to the Judicial Authority for the crime of invading the pitch during sporting events as well as administratively sanctioned as he did not have a regular access permit to the stadium. Following careful investigations carried out by the Anti-Crime Division of the Police Headquarters, a Daspo provision was issued against the Palermo fan.
