Serie B, relegations and playouts: it's a puzzle. All possible…
News: The bottom of the Serie B standings is a tangle of combinations, head-to-head clashes and goal differences that will only be resolved at the final whistle on the final day. The fourth relegation is decided with the playouts, which are held between the 16th and 17th placed teams only if the gap between the two does not exceed 4 points. In the event of a tie at the end of the two playout matches, the best placed team in the regular season (16th) is saved. ❌ Direct relegation (without playout): occurs only if Bari loses in Catanzaro and Empoli, Südtirol and Virtus Entella win at the same time. Four teams are directly relegated: Bari, Pescara, Spezia and Reggiana.
