Sicily: "Barbera Stadium, the environmental green light has arrived….

News: The path that could lead to the Renzo Barbera becoming one of the venues candidate to host Euro 2032 continues. As reported by La Sicilia, the stadium redevelopment project has obtained the green light from the technical-scientific commission of the Sicilian Region, a step considered fundamental to respect the deadline of 31 July set by UEFA for the presentation of the dossier. As La Sicilia further highlights, the Commission concluded the verification of eligibility for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) with a negative outcome. In practice, the project will not have to go through a new environmental assessment procedure. The green light, however, is accompanied by a series of requirements that Palermo will have to respect during the construction of the works.
