Sicily: "Barbera, the Region warns the Municipality: the 60 million…
News: The Sicilian Region also intervenes on the project of the new Renzo Barbera stadium. According to La Sicilia, the Region has decided to invest a significant part of the resources allocated to sports facilities in the Barbera project. As La Sicilia highlights, through a note signed by the general manager of the Department of Tourism, Sport and Entertainment, Margherita Rizza, the Region recalls that the beneficiary of the financing is exclusively the Municipality of Palermo. In fact, Sicily underlines that the regional manager specifies how any changes could have direct consequences on the economic contribution. According to La Sicilia, the reference concerns precisely the changes introduced in the agreement which pushed Palermo FC to threaten to withdraw from the project, opening a clash with the Municipality.
