Sicily: "Nuovo Barbera, endless night in the Council. Agreement on…
News: A day of negotiations, tensions and continuous postponements culminated in a very long night of work at Palazzo Comitini. According to La Sicilia, the turning point came already in the morning, when the mayor Roberto Lagalla announced that he had reached an agreement with Palermo and with the City Football Group, represented by the board of directors Alberto Galassi. The City Council meeting, which began at midday, soon turned into a marathon of suspensions, group leaders and waiting. According to La Sicilia, the two municipal managers even sent a note to the Police Headquarters and the Prefecture, expressing concern at having been identified as presumed responsible for the possible failure of the new stadium project. As La Sicilia points out, the exemption requested by Palermo was not included in the agreement.
