Tuttosport: “Celebrate Catanzaro”
News: Palermo wins at the "Renzo Barbera", fights until the end but fails to complete the comeback against Catanzaro. According to Tuttosport, Palermo lost promotion especially in the first leg played in Calabria: «Palermo lost the Serie A three days earlier at Ceravolo». The newspaper then talks about the splendid choreography dedicated to little Alessia La Rosa, a great Palermo fan who passed away a few days before the first leg of the semi-final against Catanzaro. Tuttosport underlines how Catanzaro reacted immediately, creating opportunities with Pittarello and Iemmello and then relying on long ball possession to slow down Palermo's forcing. In the finale, Tuttosport also talks about the very tense climate experienced at Barbera, with Catanzaro forced to return to the changing rooms escorted by the police together with the referee Marcenaro.
