Tuttosport: “Serie B. Playoffs anomalous and need to be modified”
News: The Serie B playoffs kick off with Modena-Juve Stabia and Catanzaro-Avellino, but the debate around the promotion play-off formula continues to fuel controversy and reflections. As Gianluca Scaduto points out on Tuttosport, this year's edition presents an anomaly never seen before. First Filippo Inzaghi for Palermo, then Paolo Bianco for Monza, underlined how difficult it is to accept playing Serie A against teams that have played in a completely different championship. According to Gianluca Scaduto on Tuttosport, this very situation could open up a future reflection on the need to change the playoff regulations. For this reason, many Serie B fans believe that a similar principle could also be applied to the promotion play-offs.
