Tuttosport: “World Cup on Dazn, Italy free-to-air on Rai or Mediaset”
News: Dazn would also be ready to take over the 2026 World Cup. As Stefano Pasquino specifies on Tuttosport, the conditional remains mandatory pending official announcements, but the hypothesis is that Dazn will broadcast all the matches of the tournament live. Stefano Pasquino, on Tuttosport, recalls that Italy will first have to qualify, moving on from the play-off on 26 March in Bergamo against Northern Ireland and the eventual decisive match on 31 March away against the winner of Wales-Bosnia. As Stefano Pasquino points out on Tuttosport, the most natural destination would be Rai 1, but Mediaset could also ensure free-to-air broadcasting, thanks to the previous agreements for the Club World Cup and for the La Liga competitions. In that case, writes Stefano Pasquino on Tuttosport, Dazn could resell the most popular matches free-to-air, considering the appeal that a World Cup maintains even without the national team.
