News: The Lega Serie B has made the dates of the next season official: the 2026/27 championship will start on Saturday 22 August 2026, with any advances to Friday 21 August, while the conclusion of the regular season is set for the weekend between 14 and 16 May. The closing of the next championship will instead arrive a week later than the current season: the 38th matchday of this year is in fact scheduled for 8 May, with all the matches at the same time as per tradition. The Lega Serie BL press release also approved the Board of Directors' proposal for the start and end of the 2026/2027 championship. In particular, the first day is scheduled for Saturday 22 August 2026, with possible advances on Friday 21 August; the last day is scheduled for the weekend between 14 and 16 May.
