News: The regional government led by Renato Schifani will in fact participate in the financing of the intervention, included in the candidacy plan of Palermo among the venues of the 2032 European championships. The commitment was formalized during an institutional meeting at Palazzo d'Orléans between the president of the Region and the mayor Roberto Lagalla, who shared the desire to accelerate the project process. Economic coverage will be guaranteed through a public-private partnership: over half of the resources will be made available by Palermo Calcio, while the remaining part will be divided between the Region, Municipality and State. Timelines already mapped out: the overall financial framework must be defined in detail by the month of May, a fundamental step to give solidity to the project. Subsequently, by 31 July, all the documentation must be sent to UEFA, which will have the task of evaluating the compliance of the facility with the standards required to host a top-level international competition.
