News: Giovanni Stroppa wins the Panchina d’Oro Serie B award: the Venezia coach was awarded for having brought Cremonese back to Serie A during the past season, a feat achieved by winning the playoffs. “An unexpected victory. I thought Inzaghi and Grosso deserved this award more than me – says Stroppa -. I thank all my fellow coaches who shared last championship for me, thanks to president Arvedi who built a fantastic team, to my staff and to the players who contributed to an extraordinary season last year.” The award for Serie A was won by Antonio Conte for winning the Scudetto with Napoli, while the one for Serie C was won by Fabio Gallo for his promotion with Virtus Entella.
