Palermo and Frosinone do not take advantage of Venezia’s half-failure
News: Palermo and Frosinone do not take advantage of Venezia’s half-failure. Venezia’s draw in Bolzano had reopened intriguing promotion scenarios, but the great opportunity to close the gap at the top was sensationally wasted. The 27th matchday of Serie B risked changing the balance of the championship, but instead Frosinone and Palermo were unable to take advantage of the half-failure of the lagoon players. Palermo falls 2-1 on the pitch of Pescara, last in the standings, after also finding the advantage with Pohjanpalo. A point that moves the rankings, but which is not enough to decisively close the gap on the leaders. Thus, after Venezia’s half-misstep, the top remains crowded but unchanged in the main balances: a shift that could have rekindled the race for direct promotion instead turns into a missed opportunity.
