Calvarese analyzes Catanzaro – Monza: “A 'penalty' on Petagna, light…
News: Catanzaro – Monza sparked numerous controversies from the refereeing point of view. Match director Ayroldi found himself managing a game that was anything but simple: three expulsions (two against Monza) and, above all, the penalty kick awarded to the Brianza team in full injury time, which allowed the score to be balanced. What is particularly controversial is the contact between the Catanzaro defender, Antonini, and the attacker Petagna. Former referee Giampaolo Calvarese expressed his opinion on the episode and commented on his website calvar. it: "It's true that there are two arms of the defender, but at the same time it seems too little – also considering the size – to cause the attacker to fall. On the expulsions: "The ones against Alesi and Keita were excessive, while the double yellow card for Cutrone appears to be a fiscal measure, but overall it can be accepted."
