News: Venezia ended the championship in the best way, even beating Palermo at the Penzo and celebrating their return to Serie A in front of their fans. As Michele Contessa explains in the Gazzetta dello Sport, Palermo managed to stay in the game for only one half, playing a good first half before collapsing after Doumbia's immediate lead at the start of the second half. From that moment on, Venezia completely took control of the match, hitting two posts and two crossbars. On the opposite front, Venezia also found the goal with Lauberbach, but the goal was disallowed for offside. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that after just a minute Doumbia takes advantage of the counterattack orchestrated by Yeboah and beats Joronen with the Rosanero defense exposed.
