Italian Cup, fine for Palermo after Mantua: fine of 3
The Sports Judge imposed a fine of 3,000 euros on Palermo following the Italian Cup match against Mantova, won 5-2 by the rosanero and valid for the round of 32 of the competition. The provision is contained in the Official Press Release no. 25 of 4 September 2026. The sanction was imposed on the Rosanero club "for having its supporters, during the match, throw three plastic bottles onto the pitch". The fine was mitigated pursuant to article 29, paragraph 1, letter b) of the Sports Justice Code. No sanctions for pyrotechnic material. The press release also specifies that, during the round of 32 matches, the supporters of Cagliari, Palermo and Turin introduced and used various types of pyrotechnic material in their respective sectors, including firecrackers, smoke bombs and flares.
