A special evening, sold out, the first in the league but not the first in the season. The "Renzo Barbera" sold out the match between Palermo and Sampdoria, a result that cannot be taken for granted also taking into consideration the fact that the match was played on a Monday evening. 33,196 tickets were issued for the match (17 thousand season ticket holders and 16,196), a seasonal record. There were 23,133 spectators present at the "Renzo Barbera" for Palermo – Mantova in the Italian Cup, while in the first match of the Cup and season debut against Lecce, 33,009 spectators were present. For the first day of the championship against Juve Stabia, however, "Barbera" had recorded 32,106 attendances.
