News: Step forward towards the redevelopment of the Renzo Barbera stadium. The municipal council has in fact approved, on the proposal of the mayor Roberto Lagalla and the councilors for Heritage and Sport, Brigida Alaimo and Alessandro Anello, the resolution which declares the "public interest of the modernization project of the sports facility". The declaration of public interest represents a fundamental step in the administrative process: it allows the strategic relevance of the intervention for the city and the community to be officially recognized and paves the way for the subsequent procedural phases. At the same time, Palermo FC is already working on the PFTE (Technical-economic feasibility project), an indispensable document for structuring the intervention and making it consistent with the objectives of infrastructural and sporting development. This path also fits into the broader framework of the city of Palermo's candidacy to be among the host cities of Euro 2032.
