Sicily: “Euro 2032, Barbera is in the running: now Palermo challenges…
News: As La Sicilia reports, the dossier for the candidacy of the Renzo Barbera stadium for Euro 2032 was presented on time, allowing Palermo to officially enter among the cities in the running to host the European championship. According to La Sicilia, the new Barbera project represents one of the most ambitious ever imagined for the Viale del Fante plant. An intervention costing around 300 million euros which, if carried out, would radically change the face of the plant and the entire neighbourhood. As La Sicilia highlights, Euro 2032 was the driving force that allowed the entire administrative process to be accelerated. In the case of Palermo, the City Football Group, through Palermo FC, will support a large part of the investment, with over 160 million euros allocated to the redevelopment of the facility as part of an overall plan close to 300 million.
