News: Nuovo Barbera's candidacy for Euro 2032 has passed the first milestone, but the game is far from over. Sicily identifies Palermo and Florence as the two main candidates to compete for the fifth available spot, even if Cagliari, Genoa and, more to the side, Salerno also remain in the running. The greater capacity foreseen for the Viale del Fante stadium could represent a favorable element compared to other applications. However, the final evaluation of the FIGC remains, which will have to select the five official Italian venues. Palermo, concludes La Sicilia, remains fully in the running and could fight for the place with Florence down to the last minute, while the other large cities now seem very close to the designation.
