News: Guido Pagliuca will not be the new Avellino coach. After two days of intense casting in Contrada Zoccolari, the Irpinia management has dissolved their reservations: the successor of the exonerated Raffaele Biancolino will be Davide Ballardini. In his career he has already managed important places such as Palermo, Genoa and Cremonese, building a reputation as an expert technician in complicated situations. It is the ninth change of the season in Serie B, a figure lower than the 13 last season at the same point in the tournament. The ‘positive’ record of the new millennium remains that of 2007/08, with just six changes, while the negative record belongs to 2022/23 with 21 changes in progress, in addition to the two previous ones at the start of the championship.
